Remo was retained for the second year running to develop a graduate recruitment campaign for BOC, one of the world's leading manufacturers and suppliers of industrial, medical and specialist gasses.

It is not a well-known fact that BOC products touch every aspect of our everyday lives. From the gas in our beer, to vehicle fuels and transportation, the business is as broad as it is diverse. Not surprisingly, it is vital for BOC to attract the most talented graduates to maintain its world-class status.

However, whilst BOC's reputation within the Graduate Engineering community is well-established, the brief was to attract graduates from a broader range of sectors such as Marketing, Financial, IT and HR. This was taking BOC into a much more competitive arena and one in which their brand did not have the same level of awareness.

In response to this, Remo developed a campaign style which challenged the conventional thinking of BOC as an 'engineering' company and demonstrated its position as a world-class business partner employing the best business minds in the industry - across all disciplines.

The media strategy was designed to make full use of the Graduate Directories, campus marketing, PR and direct marketing. The theme of a stimulating, innovative company came through the imagery and language used in the campaign.

The result... a significant shift in the perception of BOC within the graduate target group and the recruitment of seriously good graduates.

Tit bit... The average salary, which graduates, can expect entering the job market this year is £21,997.

Every year Remo attracts a number of students from neighbouring universities to undertake work placements in design and account management. We feel it not only benefits the students but gives the agency an 'on the street' insight into youth marketing.
